Why is triple-layer aluminum clad steel suitable for induction heating?
The aluminum sandwiched between the three-layer aluminum clad steel plates has good thermal conductivity, allowing heat to be transferred quickly not only vertically but also horizontally. Stainless steel also has thermal capacity and stores heat well. This allows the heat energy of the unevenly heated parts of an induction cooktop to be transferred quickly and evenly throughout the cooktop (aluminum effect), while also storing heat well (stainless steel effect), making it easy to maintain the right temperature.
About 3-layer steel clad material
Inner: 18-8 stainless steel (18% chromium, 8% nickel) with a mirror finish
This type of stainless steel is particularly corrosion-resistant. It is ideal for the interior surfaces that come into direct contact with food. The mirror-finished interior not only makes it easy to wash away stubborn food, but also prevents limescale, which is a buildup of water stains that can form when components in tap water dry.
Medium - Aluminum
With excellent thermal conductivity, heat is distributed evenly throughout the pot, preventing food from burning and resulting in delicious results.
Exterior - Stainless steel (18% chromium) with a matte polished finish
This stainless steel is corrosion-resistant and compatible with induction cooking. The exterior has a matte finish that makes scratches less noticeable. This matte exterior finish is achieved by first giving the interior a mirror finish and then applying a matte finish.
